Honda Accord Plug-In Hit The Dealership of The City of Torrance
The Accord Plug-in joins the Fit EV in the city of Torrance for the within city transportation in order to deliver environmentally friendly performance with a reduced CO2 emissions and tailpipe emissions. On 13th August 2013, at the Torrance City Hall, the delivery ceremony where a key to the Honda Accord Plug-in was Presented to the Torrance Mayor is marked by the Torrance Mayor Frank Scotto by Steven Center who is also the vice president of the Environmental Business Development Office of the American Honda. This is not for the first time when Honda and Torrance are using their combine efforts to get real world performance figures as they worked in the past for the Fit EV test figures. The Fit EV is a vehicle that people are using for their everyday needs however, about the Honda Accord Plug-in, the manufacturer claimed that this vehicle will reduce the CO2 emission roughly by 74% compared to a gasoline powered Honda Fit with improved driving dynamics.
At the delivery ceremony, the Mayor Torrance Frank Scotto shared “The City of Torrance is proud to continue its partnership with Honda where we jointly hold the keys to a compelling solution for reducing CO2 emissions, We have been impressed by the potential of the Fit EV to significantly reduce the city’s CO2 emissions from transportation and contribute to our CO2 reduction goals. The addition of the Accord Plug-In will help enhance our efforts to reduce CO2 from the city’s operations.”
The Honda Accord Plug-in is a family sedan with an EPA rated fuel economy of 115 MPGe making it the most fuel efficient vehicle in the US. The Honda Accord plug-in has a 120 volt charger that help the battery to fully charge from a low point in just three hours from a common household 120 volt outlet and takes less than one hour if you use a 240 volt outlet using level 2 and charger 3. The car is an ideal alternative to drive on electric only mode within the city and hybrid mode for longer distances. Additional to performance, the 2014 plug-in Accord is a mix of athleticism and class leading craftsmanship.
