BMW Efficient Dynamics: An approach towards eco-friendly cars
BMW is a key player in developing eco-friendly cars and with the rising bar, considering SKY ACTIV from Mazda and EcoBoost from Ford; the company is all set to promote its “Efficient Dynamics” vehicles as well. After getting out of the Formula 1 competition, BMW is looking to boost the Efficient Dynamics Vision.
According to the BMW ‘experts’ we spoke to at our local dealership, Priority1 Cars of Baltimore, BMW eDrive is the electronic concept vehicle from BMW. It is known for its impressive dynamics and emission-free driving experience in electrical mode. BMW eDrive concept is a combination of sustainable mobility and advance agility for an excellent driving experience.
eDrive comes with an electric motor, intelligent energy management, and high-performance lithium-ion battery for superb acceleration and driving. Vehicle designed on the concept of eDrive use a high-tech electrical battery for electrical power. When combined with efficient cooling systems, the battery operates at an optimal temperature while keeping the performance up and an extended life of the battery.
These vehicles are designed for zero local emission: How? Upon full charging, the electric motor provides an electrical driving for 30 km, which will cover your everyday distance. It is capable of offering sufficient acceleration depending upon the requirements, up to 200 NM torque instantly.
All the eDrive concept vehicles are powered by an intelligent energy management system. This system works by optimizing the efficiency of the electric drive train, and it uses an efficient operating technology. The system will use navigation data of the driver and calculate best driving parameters for electrical driving. It will consider the driving conditions and weather situations accordingly. The brake energy regeneration component saves the energy released at the time of slowing down in the battery. The user can switch to ECO PRO mode for efficient driving and initiating the energy saving systems.
The eDrive concept is best for controlling local emission and helps consumers to cut down their daily fuel consumption. These vehicles represent a new range of electronic automobiles ready for the fuel crisis and need of eco-friendly vehicles.
