BMW Premieres Concept Active Tourer Outdoor at OutDoor Friedrichshafen Fair
Auto manufacturers are always keen on introducing better premium compact cars that are in demand and now BMW has been focusing on the new BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor that will be available for display at the OutDoor Friedrichshafen fair. The German automaker claims that this will be a different car from all the earlier premium compact cars that they have launched because it will focus on how interior space can be used for consumers that need space for leisure and sport purposes. The car will also have sporty and athletic styling on the exteriors to make it more appealing to modern car buyers.
The exteriors of the car will have compact and sporty design with exclusive Gold Race Orange exterior paintwork that makes the car look unique. The design is not just compact and sporty but also functional and dynamic. The front fascia of the vehicle is striking with forward leaning BMW kidney grille combined with eye catching orange accent strips for two grille bars. The twin headlights with LED accent lights blend into the front wings. There are two large air intakes right below the headlights that make a sporty impression. On the rear side the car gets large rear lights and a large tailgate that offers convenient access to the load compartment.
Under the hood, BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor gets 1.5 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine that combines with an electric motor to produce 190 horsepower. The car accelerates zero to 60 mph in under 8 seconds with the top speed of 125mph. It offers fuel economy of 2.5 liters per 100 kilometers which is around 113 mpg approximately.
The interior is very driver oriented and therefore all the important controls are within the reach of the driver. The cabin is decorated with easy care, hard wearing materials that blend and contrast well with the exteriors. It also gets standard BMW features like BMW ConnectedDrive and BMW Online information portal access.
