Lamborghini Reveals Huracan LP 610-4 at Geneva Motor Show
The Italian luxury sports cars manufacturer Lamborghini stunned the audience at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show by unveiling 2015 Huracan LP 610-4. The car was in the rumor mills since December last year with its leaked photos, but the company has now officially given the precise information on its production.
The Overview
Lamborghini Huracan will replace the existing Gallardo, which has completed its ten years of existence. Lamborghini has continued its norm by naming Huracan after a famous bull of 19th century. It derives most of its features from Gallardo and a few from the much expensive Aventador. Looking at its specifications and features, we can compare it to Ferrari 458, McLaren MP4-12C and next generation Audi R8.
Power Plan
The engine specification is same as that of Lamborghini Gallardo. It carries a 5.2 liter rear-mounted engine with suspension to all the four wheels. The car will be able to cross 100km/h in 3.2 seconds with 610 horsepower and 560 Nm torque. The engine is assisted by a seven-speed transmission and all new Doppia Frizione gear box. The top estimated speed of this new entrant is 323 km/h.
Design and Interior
Most of the exterior bodywork is done with carbon fiber and aluminum, which make this sports car much lighter in weight than Gallardo. The titled angles, center stack, bottom wheels and digital TACH however are derived from Lamborghini Aventador. The masterpiece displayed at Geneva was painted in Pearl Yellow, while the one published on the website seems to be in Electric Lime Green. Talking about interior, Huracan carries a 12.3 inch TFT screen for entertainment, connectivity and navigation functions.
