The new Honda Civic Type R Concept is unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show
The 84th Geneva Motor show has just started and all the popular brands are offering their vehicles for the general public to get a look into the future. Honda unveiled the all new Civic R Type concept models at the show that will make its debut in 2015 in Europe. The car is described by its design team as “a racing car for the road” instead of calling it a high performance version of a road car, it seems that the new R-Type Concept will introduce a new segment of cars to the market. The car is expected to be the most powerful and extreme R-Type ever produced by Honda. The car’s design is a blend of a racing car as well as a road car making it perfect for what it is called by its design team.
Honda announced that the car gets one of its brand new VTEC TURBO engines from the earth dream technology range. This will be a 2.0 liter direct injection four cylinder turbo engine that is expected to deliver a class leading performance and efficiency. This will be the first turbo engine powered car to the Europe by Honda because Honda didn’t offer its turbo powered car for the Europe for some time. The car is based on the European Spec Hatchback and the car features a giant rear spoiler, hood vents, enlarged grilles and widened fenders that set it apart from ordinary Civic models. For a smooth and impressive performance the car will sit on 20 inch alloy wheels. Other details about the car are yet to be disclosed, including pricing and exact release date. Beside Civic R-Type Concept, Honda also showcases the power train layout of the next generation NSX, next generation fuel cell electric vehicle and lots of hot news about the release of their forthcoming projects at the Geneva auto Show.
