Infiniti Releases First Image of Q50 Eau Rouge Concept just before 2014 NAIAS
Infiniti has revealed the first image of its Concept car modeled as Q50 Eau Rouge on its official releases page. The model is to be publicly demonstrated on January 13 at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The concept is originated from the existing Q50 premium sports sedan, and is a vision for high performance automotive. Eau Rouge has got certain special features that make it distinct among the concept models from other manufacturers.
Aerodynamic Features
As the Q50 Eau Rouge concept is constructed on current Q50 sedan, the overall features and specifications are likely to be similar with a little twitch of upgrades. However, there are some major modifications that can be seen in the design. In contrast to the sedan, Eau Rouge is a bit lower and wider that will empower it to slit the air with less friction and attain a higher speed.
Stimulation from F1
The new Eau Rouge, as stated by the officials, is a design inspired from Infiniti Red Bull Racing, four times Formula One Champions. The fact that makes the car special is that its design has been accomplished with the collaboration between the manufacturers and racers. The design team was led by Alfonso Albasia, the design director.
Carbon Fused Exterior
The major bodywork is carried using carbon fiber instead of metals. This would ensure the enhanced aerodynamics by reducing the overall weight of the car. Amalgamating carbon fiber to make splitter, diffuser, sill skirts, roof and door mirror casings not only cut down the encumbrance on wheels, but also harden the exterior with the strength of carbon fiber. Moreover, the lightweight body is to be managed by the strong grip of 21-inch forged alloy wheels.
Infiniti has reserved key news and announcements for the forthcoming press conference on January 14; just one day after the Q50 is exhibited to the public. The manufacturer will most probably disclose the detailed specifications, features, pricing, and availability information in the coming few days.
