Honda to Introduce Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle in the Los Angeles Auto Show
The Honda Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) is all set to be introduced before the start of the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20, while a sketch of the concept vehicle was released earlier this week. The potential styling direction for Honda’s future FCUV technology is represented through this concept model.
Honda’s fuel cell electric vehicles are scheduled to be released in Japan and the US in 2015 and it is widely expected that the next-generation car will be launched in Europe after that. The 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, which is regarded as one of the finest car shows of the US, will be held in the Los Angeles Convention Center from November 22 to December 1, 2013.
A number of different automobile manufacturers from the US and various other countries will participate in the show, in their efforts of gaining the attention of potential buyers in the US. The experts believe that the Honda’s new concept vehicles are likely to be one of the major highlights of the event. Over the last few years, Honda has been a market leader when it comes to fuel cell electric vehicles, having started a retail initiative through leasing of its FCEV cars to fleet customers in 2002. Three years later, Honda became the first automobile manufacturer to handover a FCEV vehicle to an individual retail consumer.
Mike Accavitti, the senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co. Inc., says, his company aims at becoming a trendsetter when it comes to future mobility and continuous development. Accavitti expressed that Honda is geared up for the official launch of its FCEV in 2015 and is confident that the car will revolutionize the automobile industry by paving way for zero-emissions future.
The popular car maker will also introduce its updates for the 2014 Civic in the Auto Show.
