Silverado High Country Offers Extra Comfort and Extravagance
The 2014 Silverado High Country has undergone a major modification. The already famous truck from Chevrolet is made more efficient and contains some rugged luxury elements. The design elements included in the 2014 Silverado High Country have been advertised and placed before everything else. Chevrolet has also installed a brand new V-8 engine and it is Silverado’s most power engine to date. The 2014 Silverado High Country is packed with comfort elements for more driving pleasure as well.
The standard 5.3L engine will be included in the basic models. Buyers have the option of choosing a 6’6″ or a 5’8″ cargo box. The truck is priced at $45,100 and is a rear wheel drive. Horizontal chrome bars are included in this model with body colored bumpers along with 20 inch wheels as a standard on all models. The interior is brown, and Chevrolet has made things more high tech with the addition of Bose speakers. An 8-inch touch screen is another addition to keep up with the modern theme. The driver as well as the passengers can control the temperature of the seats.
“Silverado High Country adds a higher degree of capability to the premium truck market and broadens the all-new Silverado’s lineup with a unique combination of exclusive features and purposeful technologies,” said Rohrer. “Its class-leading power is matched with the strong chassis and new suspension and drivetrain elements that make the 2014 Silverado 1500 the strongest, most capable and most refined truck in Chevrolet’s history.”
The Active Fuel management system will keep the power in control, making the car more economical. The addition of electric power steering will further reduce the fuel consumption. Parking assists and safety features like rear locking differentials increase car’s maneuverability. Like the previous models, the 2014 Silverado High Country will have six-speed automatic transmission as standard. Variable valve timing is another extra feature which will ensure that the engine receives good air flow even on low revs. The brakes have also been given an upgrade. The brakes use the Duralife rotors by GM motors, which have a longer life compared to previous brakes.
The 2014 Silverado High Country on paper is a huge upgrade over the previous generation trucks. Only time will tell whether all the upgrades actually make the truck better or not.
